About Myself
How a project in my 6th grade brought me to STEM Field & My Journey to UI & UX / Product Design
My approach to design is not just a skill; it's in my DNA. From my mother, I inherited an artist's eye for form and creativity. From my father, a mathematician's mind for logic and systems. For years, these two sides of me seemed separate, but a single project in the 6th grade revealed they were two sides of the same coin.
Before my journey into STEM, my world was one of art. I was a focused arts & performing arts student, driven by creativity. My first true product design challenge came in the form of a school science project: "Science as a tool to Combating Pollution" I didn't just write a report; I designed and built a detailed 3D model, a physical interface, to explain complex environmental problems and their potential solutions. Presenting this model to parents, students, and teachers, I felt a spark. I wasn't just showing facts; I was crafting a user experience, making intricate information accessible and engaging. That was my first taste of design-oriented problem-solving.
This project became my gateway to the world of STEM.
The passion ignited by that 3D model led me to dive deep into science and mathematics. I found myself captivated by everything from the physics of a Peregrine Falcon's flight to the elegant resonance of a benzene ring. I wasn't just studying; I was preparing for the Indian National Mathematics Olympiad, designing structural solutions for science competitions, and exploring advanced calculus.
I realized then what I know now: that science and art are not two different languages, but a single vocabulary for solving human problems.
The same curiosity that drove me to understand dark energy is what now drives me to understand user behavior. The logical rigor required to solve geometric proofs is the same rigor I apply to building a seamless information architecture. The creativity it took to build that first 3D model is the same creativity I use to prototype an intuitive interface.
My journey from art to STEM, and back to a fusion of both, is why I am a product / interface experience designer today. I don't see a separation between strategy and design or creativity and data. I see it as a continuous spectrum for problem-solving. It is a mindset that holds no regrets, only a profound love for learning, building, and designing products that are both logical and inspired.
Be it a big tech organization or a small student club, I have always found joy in collaborative projects and innovation. My journey through various internships, social work, and participation in technical clubs from 2019 to 2023 has enriched my learner and working exposure as I finished my Bachelor's degree. This helped me hone my skills in Software Design field & better understanding SaaS and Information Design principles.
Each opportunity allowed me to apply my analytical and problem-solving abilities to real-world challenges. I am eager to bring my diverse skill set to projects that make impact.
